I used to put mine out for the birds, too, then a vet told me not to as they can get caught around the birds' legs and cause nasty injuries.

That is indeed true. I try to cut them in about 1/2 inch pieces so that *hopefully* doesn't happen.

I keep them in a bag or for every day in a tim my dad got me for Christmas which has "trims" on it. I was so impressed that he got me a stitchy gift I use it for all of my ort now!!

I just like it and think it's fun, there are all kinds of things it could be used to stuff :)
