Ok, we're off like a herd of turtles. I'm posting a little bit early this morning because I'll be going to a Doctors appointment in a little while & didn't want to make y'all wait.
I had thought to use a random # generator website to pick my numbers (but then realized that I could figure out who would win when). So I decided to barrow my sons dice. He has a collection of them (he doesn’t play games with them, he just likes different dice). For today I used 5 of his 6-sided die (so all the upper #’s would be represented) I hope to barrow other die for other rolls, we’ll see.
16 Internet The following information was taken from the Wikipedia page about “Internetâ€. The internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks. It consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies computer network system.
The origins of the Internet reach back to research of the 1960s, commissioned by the U.S. Government in collaboration with private commercial interests to build robust, fault-tolerant, and distributed computer networks. As of 2011 more than 2.2 billion people—nearly a third of Earth’s human population used the services of the internet.
There is no centralized governance in the technological implementation or policies for access and usage; each constituent network sets its own standards. Only the definitions of 2 principal name spaces on the internet, IP address (Internet Protocol address) and Domain Name System are directed by a maintainer organization.
