I was reading this thread to my husband and his family. They were amazed at how nice everyone is and how willing people were to help strangers (essentially) out. I'm am blessed to have founds such an amazing group of friends!

This is the best group of people, I agree. elfhawks, your husband sounds like my sister and a few of my "real" friends (and probably me before I joined this forum) who don't understand that forum friends (on a forum like this one, if there is such a thing) are real friends who start out, like real friends do, with a common interest and then get to know each other better and though can't meet face to face may be closer and share more than they do with face to face friends. I don't think I really did anything that many of y'all would do. I just needed the catfish and shrimp sooner (and I am on EST) than any of you needed to do last minute shopping and got to Target first. I am also curious about how Jess reacted Christmas morning. I'm sure once Sam has a chance, we will find out.

Good news! The code worked and Jess is now the very proud and extremely happy owner of a snow leopard!!

Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of her reading the scroll I made for her...but I do have a photo of the scroll for any that are interested...the code is obviously expired now that she has used it so I guess it's ok to post.



She had to do a double take when she read it and then said 'Surely it can't be THE Shirley and Laverne...they are cats?!" So I said "Well Santa is magic....he can make reindeer fly can't he?" To which her little face kind of lit up with wonder and she did a little dance! She was very good though and opened all her other presents before disappearing off onto the PC for an hour to check out her snow leopard!

This was a very special present for her...and I thank you Carole for making it happen...just so you know how obsessed with snow leopards Jess is atm....here is a pic of her latest hat....she has slippers and stickers and teddies galore too!



I also want to say a big thank you to everyone else who was willing to help.....you are all heros to me too

THE Shirley and Laverne were more than happy to help. I'm so glad that it worked. I can't figure out why that card was so limited, but I imagine they had some special deal with Target. Kind of like the book licensing laws. There are audiobooks that we can't download because they haven't been released in the U.S. yet. If it is part of a series it can be annoying to wait, but eventually it becomes available. That's okay for grownups, but not little girls who have great faith in Santa. That should help keep her believing for next year, at least. My grandsons in Florida had to write to ask Santa to bring their presents a day early since they weren't going to be home Christmas morning (and Daddy's van wasn't going to have room to bring too many presents home if he brought them to their Gramma's. He was glad to do that so they were happy and not worried on the trip up here. Santa is capable of some really great things!
