Oh that's great Daz, I love sky backgrounds on pictures. I think it's the colours they can put into them.
Anyhow, you are stormin' ahead with this one! great progress. :D

Did some more on it last night (but havent taken a pic yet).
Filled in some more of the sky, and started working on some of the highlighted areas of the sea.
Unfortunately, I found that one of the main colours used for the sea (DMC #341) is missing from my stash... so I'm going skein hunting in the local stitch shop at lunch time

I've worked a day shift yesterday and again today, so not had much stitching time... well OK, about 2 hours last night. I have one or two new pics on my cameraphone but they don't show much progress from the last one, yet
I'll try to post an update tomorrow night

Will try to get the next pic posted later today... The sky is now about 80-90% finished, and I've started filling some of the sea hilights. Watch this space 8)

That sky is stunning, and it's great how some of the colour changes are quite subtle while others are very bold -- great!

The pic really doesn't do it justice to be honest (but the only camera I have at the moment is the 2MP digicam built in to my phone).

Personally I'd have preferred to stick to subtle colour changes too, but I just followed the original DMC pattern. I still think it looks very "fresh" though
