OK so I had a wonderful time with lovely ladies and so much fun to stitch all day long and not have to do anything. All meals were prepared and fantastic food.

The retreat was held at a place named St Francis Retreat Center, it run by Franciscan Priests as a training location and they raise money to keep going by renting there centers to groups such as ours. While we were there they had 2 other groups. Monks on the Mountain and Marriage Encounter Worldwide. So in total about 125 to 150 people. But we did not run over each other except for dinner time and even that was staggered so no long lines.
Pic are

4 Dining room 5 Patio

We arrived Thursday at 4 and started to set-up in the Sewing Room....that is what I called it all weekend.

Started right into stitching and had a wonderful time meeting and greeting all that were showing up. Of course due to work and travel we all showed up on a staggering schedule. I believe that I counted 35 total when all the ladies finally came in. The closest was ME :D as I was only 15 minutes away. just across the valley from this place and the farthest Denver ,Colorado. This is a few pics of the room before and after it filled up.

There ended up not being any classes or demo's as the one planned fell through or maybe I just misunderstood what I was being told.... :thinks: But regardless the time we had to sit and stitch was just heaven. Food served and cleaned up after so total focus was on stitch, stitch, stitch. There were some wonderful projects of blackwork, scissor fobs, boxes, pulled threads, pincushions. I took a few pictures of the work but not enough.
1 A Blackwork dragon and no I did not add it upside down the lady working it said she finds it easier to stitch it this way..... 2 Pulled threads????? That is what she called it 3 Pagoda Pincushions

After 3 days of stitching we all wanted the time to slow down so we could stay for longer. But alas we had to pick up and leave. The organizer is already talking to the Father's to see if next year is open and make arrangements for the cost and rooms. I plan to go back next year and enjoy quality stitching time with a fun group of ladies. Oh by the way there are NO distractions as they do not have TV or Internet. And cell service was hit and miss at the best of times. It was great!!!!!! I was invited to check out 2 other groups in the area but what with work and all I don't think it would be possible they both meet during the day and during the work week. But how nice to have so many options...
About 3 miles down is a small town and over the week-end they were having a Pow-Wow of the local Indian Tribes some went in to have a break and came back with all sorts of things
Image
Also a LNS , Hobby Lobby, and Joann's were about 30 minutes away so some took time off to go buy stash. 3 ladies made a trip 2 hours away to another stitching shop.

But all in all it was great!!!!!!!!!!
