I actually would have to have it detachable as when I am out on my front porch or when I go to my stitching club I set it on the table. So the bag would have to come off for it to sit properly. Maybe a lap desk with a soft bottom and velcro or something similar to attached it to the bottom of the stand? But then the velcro on the bottom of the stand might put it off balance on a table...Hmmm.

Adding a loop thing to the top of the bean bag to make it a slip on instead of a Velcro snap on, might work better.
Like a strap. Velcro could be used for adjusting the straps around the bottom board.
