I think the only thing we could do is to delete the link so that we are not promoting this type of fraud. I will take tht one link out and leave the rest of the thread. Sorry guys but we have to be so careful with these type of sites.

i just went back and looked and yes i think they are breaking the copyright laws..the photos look like the ones from the site..the i had seen of the logo was drawn..didn't even click on the others..i'm sooo sorry...i know better..

and to right my wrong...i contacted the owner of the images from the site and reported her via email...gave them a link to her shop..she makes a lot of money off the images..i'm not sure if that does anything but...makes me feel a bit better about my goof

That is ok C-F we have all been duped at one time or another and it is an innocent mistake on our part. The one that should appoligize is the person trying to make a dollar off the hard work of others.

CF don't feel bad I checked the copyright details on the site and reported this person to them too as they say they will remove anything that breaches copyright. Thank you Rose for removing the link for me. I apologise profusely if this has caused anyone any problems.

Can I say if anyone has come across any official kits I am still interested.

I'll keep a look out for you. I go into a lot of crafting stores and a lot of geekshops. I haven't seen any as of yet, but I'll let you know if I do see them. I used to know a couple of artists who loved stargate and do a fair bit of fan art to which they own the copywrite, but the people aren't too realistic, they're much better at the gate and jaffa in full costume and scenery and pyramids and spaceships and...well...not people

Jaffa in full costume i hadn't considered those. They could make effective patterns as really there is fair bit of detail.

I am gonna have to bite the bullet and pay for some pattern software so I can see if I can do my own.

I'm not holding much hope for official charts. I have not seen many at all for any type of tv show.

Well I received the charts I had ordered and they are really good. Although with the copyright issues I will not be ordering them again.

I have now bitten the bullet and bought some cross stitch software and I am considering contacting MGM who make the programme about commissioning an official company to produce charts and kits.

Sounds like a good idea.
