Well, I am going to have to figure something out. Tonight I worked without a threader and my eyes are just not able to focus on that little hole. Or maybe I am un-coordinated? Either way I need a needle threader. Thanks for all the suggestions. They all look like they will work better than what I have been using.

I fold the the end of my thread in a loop. A tight loop. And push that loop through the eye of the needle.
I use pretty much the same technique. I fold the floss over the end of the needle, very tightly, and then slide the needle out, holding the folded over floss tightly between my thumb and middle finger. Then I kind of wiggle the needle so the eye goes over the floss. Sometimes I do have to use a magnifier to make sure I have the widest part of the eye over the floss.

Lorac sells these and these are my choice (having tried loads of others including automatic ones that use batteries lol).
I have one of these attached to every pair of scissors I own with a bit of ribbon.

Problem solved! My husband found me a piece of wire and I made my own. It is strong and will likely never break. Take that broken threaders!

While I'm not from Canada and I can't tell you any good online shops to try (I'm from Australia), I have found that if you google shops in your area then a lot of the actual shops will have an online option also. I discovered a little shop near me this way and it is where I get all my things now.
