she will be stunning! just like everything you do! i am so excited we are both doing JE designs. as everyone said--great start. i just can't wait to see more. she is a beautiful design. all of JE's are. starting a new project is so exciting--watching it take form.

and i so admire you ability to work on linen. i can see you q-snaps!

what size q-snap frame are you using?

Linnea--I do hope you will enjoy stitching your Joan Elliott design as much as I have enjoyed stitching the ones that I have done over the years. The q snap I am using is actually made up of two sizes an 8 and an 11 so that the one I am using is an 8 x 11. It's just what I feel most comfortable working with--I have weak wrists and my circulation isn't all that great so I have to use a smaller size frame. As for linen, it's not at all that difficult to stitch on--in fact using linen or evenweave makes it easier to do the 1/4 stitches

The animals are definitely what sold me on this design and yes, I do think that is supposed to be a snow owl--love it!!

Time for an update---I'm really having a lot of fun stitching this one---I've already used an entire skein of DMC150 on the skirt and by the time I am done with that shade, another skein will be pretty well used up. Here is what it looks like so far

I had to hide Melinda's (celtic spring) eyes so she didn't see this since she thinks she is the fairest of them all.
