I LOVE Italy - hope you have a great time in Naples. Florence is one of my favourite cities too, Agi - went five years ago - and would love to go back.
Looking forward to seeing your stitching pics when you get back, lwelizabeth.
Well..we went to Naples, Florida which is a days drive from our home. Not Italy, sorry for the confusion; I didn't mean to confuse anyone. I would love to go to Italy someday, though. We drove through Sannibel Island, too, which was awesome since I haven't been there since I was in elementary school. I also didn't get too much done on my lighthouse, worked more on my dad's piece (going to post a thread for that SAL later, after I take a nap since I'm falling asleep as I write this), but here is what it's looking like thus far:
Sorry it took so long for an update; I've been very busy trying to get financial aid stuff done for school and then I wasn't feeling very well. I'm better now, and all the financing stuff should be 100% taken care of by Monday afternoon.
We all think of the first and oldest places, so when you say you are going to Naples we all jump to the Italy connection. The US is just to new and we did steal alot of our names from the older countries.

Well, I finally finished it today. Sorry for the lack of updates; I'm not very good at posting pictures of my work when I take breaks from it, lol. I'll get better at it though!! Here's the final piece:
I gave it to my brother, no sense in waiting for an occasion to make it a present of any kind since his birthday is in January, and Christmas isn't for another 5 months. He seemed to like it; I can never really read his emotions.
This is wonderful, well done. I must agree u need to get the hang of taking pics lol but the finish pic is better than no pic at all. Im sure he loved it, well done
Very nice! My MIL has all kinds of lighthouses in her house. I haven't made a xs for her as of yet because they have no wall space anywhere...but they are putting on an addition... Maybe I need to find one... Or do one of my Thomas Kinkades Then it would be a race to who finished first--me or father-in-law, hubby & brother building the addition.
WIPs: There Be Dragons, Feed My Sheep, Canyon Flight HAED, Lotus Flowers HAED, Christmas Cove
Busy B - I was looking for lighthouse charts recently for my mom (she also loves them) and came across some spectacular ones, ranging from the very elaborate and detailed to some that were less time demanding. I can't remember where I found them but I'll try to remember. I think Mystic Stitch had some. I'll look through some of the sites I've saved in my Favorites.
