Crossstitchforum - A FREE forum for Cross Stitchers

I tried but I get motion sickness now. Plus I need a good light and a magnifier so it is a hassle trying to organized my stitching things around my seat. Since I am the navigator for my DH, I tend to watch the signs, talk to him, fetch snack food and drinks, sightsee the scenery and read the maps, etc...... I prefer to stitch at home without interruption and just enjoy watching my design unfold before my eyes.

Motion sickness is the reason I'd probably not want to try it. I can barely get through a few pages of a book for needing to put it down and stare out the front window to try and make the sickness go away (which doesn't often work). But imagining I COULD cross stitch without getting queasy, or if I'm on a train, then I match it the time of the journey. Unfortunately whenever you're on a journey that long you normally have a whole bunch of other things to loose your needle or the work itself in. But hey, if you're good at travelling light...

I am the same, not while the car is moving.. I've done it once but on very straight road and it was large blocks of one colour, so just colouring in basically! I do however enjoy stitching in the car when it is stationary.. Most Sunday nights my partner works. Instead of dropping him off and going home I park up and enjoy a night of stitching! I put the radio on, put a sheet over the steering wheel and surrounding areas as to avoid the chance of anything in there being dirty and away I go!
Or perhaps did that belong in the confessions topic?!
