Great start, Carole!!! As for the orange it is so hard to say how close to to movie color it is, mine is a slightly more orange, I am using dmc 720 for the t symbol, yes I changed it yet again, and GAST tomato for the o symbol.
Sorry you had trouble adapting to over 2 stitching again but it sounds like you are doing okay with iit now!

I didn't realize that the colors are off so much in the photo. The fabric is a light blue which doesn't come through and the oranges are a little more orange than that, but not as orange as 720, I think. Anyway, I'll post a picture when I get a bit more done. It's a lot of fun to stitch and makes me think I should pull out the DVD and watch it while I stitch! Think I'll go do that now!

Oh my gosh, he's so cute! I think I just want to copy all your colors. I have decided I cannot (CANNOT) start until I finish my current Bothy Threads. Yeah, wish me luck on that.

Good luck on the waiting to start, and picking out the shades of oranges!! I am not 100% sure of them, still making changes as the ones near the bottom are a bit darker. May do of slightly different the next time--pretty sure this one will end up being my younger son's!! As for the needle minder, she also has one similar as Darth Vader, now to find r2 d2

Finally got some time to get some serious stitching done on this one. We had a lovely stretch of weather so my lap supervisor abandoned me for her favorite spot


As of last night:


The colors in the photo are a little closer to real life than in my last photo. Hope to get it done this week-end. I think R2D2 will make a good companion, but that will have to wait for my son's birthday in May!

BB-8 is finished---really enjoyed stitching this one up!! Not sure which of the star wars ones will be the next to be stitched but I am now working on a Blackbird Designs project, so it will be a little while yet.
