This is a wonderful design! I love how the sky looks like and the refection of the lighted cabin on the water...how wonderful!
Looking forward to watching this one grow before our very eyes!

Oh that's beautiful (I actually said that aloud)! Such a pretty pattern.

Here’s the first week’s progress then – not a lot to look at other then a corner of blue sky!

Xrissy, are you stitching this over one? Fabulous design, good start.

It’s 16 count aida and yes it’s over one, but as I said in a previous post the number of strands used varies, the stitches so far have all used 6 strands, which can be a bit of a pain to thread through the needle!

6 strands! What, like a whole skien? Wow. Never tried that. I can see why that would be hard to thread.
Good luck!

Yes 6 strands, a whole skein! Moved onto some 4 stranded stitches yesterday, which were easier to thread. Two of one colour and 2 of another combined. According to the instruction the different number of strands are meant to give the picture texture.

Great start, and such a beautiful design -- I love the contrast between the warm light from the cabin and the cool shades of the surroundings!
All those different numbers of strands must give it almost a 3D feel; it'll be difficult to catch on camera though...

The 3D effect with the stitches is neat. The Dimension kit I'm doing right now does between 2 and 4 strands for the background. You can tell the difference quite a bit when you look at it.
