What is a typical American drink to raise in a toast?

Just about anything works, especially in a virtual bar! I'm not sure what a "typical American drink" for celebrating would be. Probably bourbon but anything with alcohol works. Wine, beer and hard liquor. I'm sure there was a lot consumed yesterday

Just put my not-quite-brioche rolls in the oven

Just seeing that makes me hungry. The weather is very cold here, almost freezing this morning. By lunch it won't be a lot warmer so I think a cup of Irish Coffee or some Hot Buttered Rum or Mulled Wine in front of the fireplace sounds good to me.

I don't like chocolate in any shape or form! OK so I know I'm a bit odd! I do like marshmallows toasted though!

I'm allergic to chocolate but not strawberries. Prefer vanilla anyway and blueberries to strawberries.

I hope you don't mind me joining in: I'm just looking for somewhere to sit down with my coffee and do a bit of stitching. That fire looks nice and warm but these days I need sufficient light to stitch.

My ex always would complain if I wanted the light on to do my cross stitch while he watched the TV but that was then and now I have brought an even brighter light to stitch with when I choose to watch the TV
