It dawned on me that this is a picture of sandy (dry) heathland from the exposed roots of the tree on the mound and the light colour of the soil, it is similar to places we go as a group on our Monday walks :)

Still no signs of the last piece I ordered for Christmas last year :tantrum:

Another beautiful update Jo! I seem to be getting nowhere with mine even dropping down from 4 days to 3 at work I still seem to lose time!

This was the second day of sunshine after many weeks of dreary cloud and rain so I struggled to do what I should be doing in my outside workshop and by 2pm I found myself in my conservatory setting up a piece:

Image

I think I showed you my "Butterfly Geisha" that I did as a present many years ago. This is the second one in the set I have managed to acquire "Dragonfly Geisha". Here are the two photos that come with the kits and the one I have finished behind:

Image

The photo shows this second Geisha with another blue kimono but the thread colours are shades of green  and yes green is what the thread colours are named so it must be right.

I only managed an hour yesterday and another today before the temperature dropped and I was forced back inside. Being able to do cross stitch in the conservatory again is so :whoop:

Those Geisha are so very elegant. 8)

Hope that your conservatory is warm enough today for your stitching.

Another week so time for an update on my Enchantress. While it was warm early in the week the weather has gone cold again and as you can see there is more snow:

You may have noticed the top of her walking staff seems to be smiling at me:

I do hope it is going to warm up I rather enjoyed stitching in the conservatory earlier in the week.

It was lovely and sunny yesterday and I managed to get another hour on my Geisha:

Image

It looks a bit more green now than before. I still wonder what the person who originally thought when they brought this kit with the blue kimono shown on the photo to find there was no blue threads in the kit :thinks: Maybe that was why they did not do it and why it came to me in the end :)
