It's beautiful...sorry the colors are not pleasing to you. Hard to see the gray when you are looking at the overall picture!

Wow, this is gorgeous - you've got such a lot done already too! I love that fabric, I must put it on my stash list!

re: map of Holland - I see the motorbike! I was actually quite pleasantly surprised when I saw this, it looks like a lovely picture....... until I saw what size it was. Blimey, you'll be stitching that till you're 60!!!

It's really lovely! And it's coming along so fast!

The grey may not be much fun to stitch, but I'm sure it will be perfect in the finished pic. :D

It's a shame you're not overjoyed about the colours, as so far it's looking absolutely wonderful -- perhaps they'll grow on you as the project grows?

I think you will start to appreciate the colors when they really start to show the overall picture. This is a gorgeous pattern don't let it frustrate you.

eeeuuww yeah its growing on me....problem is white and blue are my least favourite colours, so like with the ice angel and angel of winter, i grit the teeth and bash on. I've got 3/4's of the gold swirls done, i'll take a pic when that bit's done - should manage to get that done today. The gold is fading into the material a bit as yet, there's quite a lot of yellowy blothes on it, it'll hopefully stand out more when the gaps are filled in.
Not having any of the beads is bugging me, so i'm orf to colour match them in the petites over on sewandso........i'll be baaack...... xx

.... blothes?! qwerty moment there, i meant blotches. I'm gonna see how it goes with the regular beads, there's nowhere near the choice in petites, only 3 exact matches and the other colours are nothing like the rest. Swirls are done, the border's easier on this than on Spring..went shooting upto the rod quick as anything, ha.

It's 'batten down the hatches' weather here at the mo, and it's school half-term hols, so should get a fair bit done next week. (she says, you watch, events will conspire....)
