Welcome to the forum.
I don't know alot of people that cross stitch either. My grandmother does it and has my whole life but as far as people my age I think I've met one or two that do it and I got a woman off of my mommy forum to try it and she loves it. She had tried before and didn't quite get it. If she was closer I would have taught her but instead I told her to start small and with a kit since they have instructions on how to do the stitches and everything.
