I can't remember if this pattern is in my stash or not. I've got several castle/dragon designs in my stash it's hard to keep track. If it is one reason why I probably haven't done it yet is al the blending of colors. I've never done that before so I think I want to wait until I"m a little more ambitious before I try something like that. Scrolling through the photos real fast make it look like a movie. Great job. Keep it up. I'd love to see how this comes out in the end.

Thanks! The dragon is really fun to do - I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere on it now.

The rocks took forever... and I kinda screwed up on the lower left rocks - made them one row over too far and by the time I realized it there was too much done to frog it all out, so I had to improvise a bit... Not a big deal, but it made me mad because I wanted it to be perfect!

If I ever have a perfect project I will pass out. Everything I have ever done has at least one "screw-up" in it. You will never know it is off once you have completed the whole picture. :)

Aww, Don't look on it as a mess up, look on it as 'personalisation'.
You made this pattern your own by personalising a certain part of it, making it totally unique to you.

Wow, that is incredible. Really love the design and how detailed it is. Great idea to take long intervals with the photos, show the progress better!

Well Done!

yes mine is also the handwritten one and I did look at the chart and noticed there were open boxes..like they forgot to fill it in. I may search for one that has been corrected..if one exsists.

there are a lot of blended and 3/4 stitches..that's why I haven't started it. w/a 2yo running around..hard to focus on something that big and not have to :ribbit: . so little pieces are it for me for awhile..lol

yeah, that's exactly what it looks like. I checked the color on the cover art where these symbols are and it matches up with where the filled in boxes are, so I just figured they were supposed to be the black boxes. I'm just surprised the correction isn't listed anywhere - its a pretty large patches of stitches!

Well, that's a good way to look at it! :D My dragon just has a little more substance to his leg... maybe he's been working out

How nice to see how someone else stitches that design! :applesauce: :D :D :applesauce:

Mine is hanging on the wall behind me in my bedroom, but my stitching pattern was nothing like yours! I started in the middle and worked out. It never occured to me, until I saw how you were stitching, to stitch a single colour at a time! (At least, it looks like single colours).

It's coming along beauifully! and so neat, too! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Yes, I've always stitched one color at a time - its never occured to me to do it any other way. haha! It's interesting to hear about other stitching styles.

I can't wait til I can say that mine is framed and hanging on the wall! :D

The Castle - 173 hr Update!

Post by TabLVT »

ok, so it hasn't quite been 20 hrs since my last update... only 18 1/2, but I wanted to take another photo and post and update!

Here it is at 173.5 hrs. Got all the green on the dragon done and starting in some of the other colors on the wings and spines, which is neat. It's going to start looking a lot brighter soon :D
