Good for you for stitching for yourself for a change both my current WIPs are to give away and I am looking forward to sitting down and choosing a UFO of my own to finish!
Looks good love the finished piece how soon before new progress?
This was put on hold while I finished up . . . well, finishing up some coasters I was working on for a holiday gift for co-workers. That and a book mark too. I finally finished them last night so I should be getting back to this one today.

I've finished the right half of the building but I can't post an update picture as my computer at home is inoperable. Maybe I'll borrow my parent's computer and put something up tonight. I've only really had one problem stitching this. I got a knot in the thread and when I was tugging on it to undo the knot it broke. I had to a few stitches out so I would have enough floss to secure the ends on the back. Other than that it's been really easy and fun to stitch.

Me too, I was all excited thinking there was an update picture, lol.
I'll just settle myself down here on the magic bench with some nice virtual chocolate while I wait.
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE! Forget love! I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

Okay, I've highjacked my parent's computer and scanner so I've got pictures now. Don't you hate it when you cut off a length of thread only to be a couple stitches short of finishing an area? That's what happened with the green part on the side that I stitched today on my breaks at work.

Lovely progress, and as for the just-too-short threads, yes, been there done that grumbled at it and tried to use up every last little millimetre only to find it looked horrible and I had to unpick it, so now I've learnt my lesson and start a new thread for those few stitches!
Yeah, I've noticed that if I try to eek out just one more stitch (or two) that the thread seems to look tighter and the stitch looks smaller or tighter too. I've just been so good lately about cutting just the right length when I first get started that it's frustrating when I come up short. Has anyone else noticed that when they look over an area that they're going to stitch that they can judge just how much thread you're going to need and cut it just right? The more I stitch, the more I find that I can do that.

You are much better then me because I don't seem to do that. I just have a length i like to cut and that is what I do with all my threads. Sometime way to long and some times short but I always tend to cut my thread at one length.

I know I should be working on the bears but I've spent all my time this week working on this one. I love how the rose looks outlined even though I had to fudge things a bit because I made a mistake in the concrete colored part. Oh well. I still like how it turned out. Now I've just got to fill it in.
