Your Lighthouse is coming on a treat :applesauce:
I lived in Exmouth Rosemary, from the age of nine, my Dad still lives there, and my maternal grandparents lived in Dartmouth which I love. I also have relatives who live in Plymstock and I went to College in Torquay in the late 1970's. I do miss the sea, I live in Cheshire, I always go to the sea front not long after we arrive, when we visit my Dad.
Oh my god how small is this world. My dad is from Exmouth and my nan and two of my aunties still live there. I love Exmouth seafront. I always always get an ice cream from the Octagon when we go! My nan used to live on the hill above the town so when we went to stay we could look out over the sea from her landing window!

Small world indeed. Took my children on several holidays to Devon Cliffs near Exmouth, adore Dartmouth. Had my graduation from the Open University in Torquay and my father used to live in Plymstock.

Further update, the boys are appearing gradually. I normally start off stitching the children from their hats and work down so it is unusualy to see one with no head.

Rosemary nobody could be bored with your stitching, I just had a look at your gallery, your work is beautiful, I love the clock in Up, Up and Away, clever girl! I have quite a few done of AOY as I too love them, I think so many people can liken themselves or somone they know to the pictures? The Helter Skelter is a favourite of mine as I went on the very one several times when I was four, more years ago than I care to remember, but I do still remember the coconut mat you sat on! Keep letting us see your lovely pictures.
Happy Stitching

Thanks for your comments crafterglen but I think people will get really bored as I have so many more to do. I was trying to alternate between AOY and my other kits/charts but this forum has encouraged me to do extras such as the joint SALs etc so AOY has believe it or not taken a bit of a back seat.

It is coming along so nicely! Did you get the magazine with the AOY alphabet in? It is gorgeous, I'm stitching it as a major WIP as I would love it to be for when ever I have a baby, now you can see why it is not high on list of priorities!! (WIP, that is, not babies  ) If you don't have it, I have a spare pattern if you are interested? It is just alphabet letters, with little AOY boys and girls doing various frivolous things.

I have an alphabet booklet and a numbers booklet so presume that the alphabet you are talking about is similar. I love the sound of what you are planning to do and really look forward to seeing this project started. Best to start it way before getting pregnant though as several members have said that they could not concentrate so much on cross stitch whilst pregnant....not pushing you but want to see this being stitched.
