I have been cruising along - here is the latest photo link. I've been having a good time stitching - was worried about all of the cream color - but I keep telling myself it is good training for when I get to start my HAED.

I love that skirt, the cream looks good and it looks swirly doesn't it, with the folds laying like that! Well done.

Time for another update. If I keep up at this pace - this should be complete in plenty of time to have framed and give as a gift in time for Christmas.
Not sure if I like stitching with a deadline - though I am enjoying this and it is definetly not a chore - I really really want to start one of my HAED's and put this in a rotation - oh well....all the more reason to keep going on this. .....and I am sure I will pick another project to stitch with a deadline.....again. I never learn...lol.

You're making great progress on this! It's beautiful! I understand about stitching with a deadline. I picked up a UFO in August last year to try to finish by Christmas for DH. There were days that I worked on it all day until he came home from work. I'm sure you'll finish it in plenty of time!

Oh I love the colours in this one, and that fabric goes with it brilliantly!!

Glad you're enjoying it still but I can understand about wanting to start your HAEDs!
I've wondered about doing a rotation as well, I told myself I'd start another when I got to 50% on mine, then 60%... and it hasn't happened... I think I might go for this as my first finish and then start a rotation.

Well - I finished the project - looks beautiful if I do say so myself! I stayed up until 2 a.m. on Saturday morning to finish it and wash it. Got it to the framer later the same day - picked everything out. It was not until I was leaving that I realized in my excitment of the finish and prep for the framer I never took a finshed stitching photo - sorry.
I'll be heading back down there on Monday to get the picture and promise to promptly post! I'll then post a picture of the framed piece when I get it back - probably a couple of weeks.
Thank you for all of the encouragement - This is the fastest I have ever completed a project.....on to my next 1,2,3.....

Ok - so here they are...the first one is the whole picture - the second one is a close up of the face - I chose to do the face/neck/hands in 1 over 1 stitching - cursing at myself about halfway through - but I really like how it turned out.

The fabric is amazing - it sets off the stitching so nicely! Excellent work. How do you plan to frame it?

PO - thank you - it is being framed with a dual mat - dark gold in the under mat and a molted cream 'main mat' and the actual frame is a cherry wood. I should have a picture to post in a couple of weeks.

The face is gorgeous, well worth the effort, and the fabric complements the design beautifully!
