I don't ever remember using blending filament, but I must have at some point. It sure did go pretty quick! I went to the craft store today and they had no blending filament in the color I had. Plenty of blending braid... a learning experience when it comes to shopping! I have one more craft store to try tonight (it's pretty far away but the only I place I know of that will having binding for a blanket I need to downsize for the baby.. she has decided her lovely blankey is a huge queen sized comforter. lol).. if they don't have the blending filament there then I'd love to get that reference from you, Thursday Next (sorry, not sure what your actual name is )

My latest on the dragon. I hate how where the hoop was creases the fabric.. eep! I think I need to follow the advice on this list and put a felt barrier in place..

I haven't been able to get to the second craft store in this area so I'm ordering the blending filamet online today. We're going to be in New Hampshire for a few days and hopefully it will get here shortly after we get home.

I wouldn't worry about the creases. When you wash and iron the finished piece it won't show at all. There are some lovely colors in this one. Great job. :applesauce:

A wash and iron will get rid of all creases.

It's looking beautiful though! Really great progress, and I'm glad to hear the thread is on it's way.

This is looking great. Don't worry about the creases as it won't damage your project. When you clean and iron it out afterwards, it won't be there anymore.

not wishing to hijack nachstenliebe's thread but i have a question about the creases they brought up...

can you wash a piece that has week works dyed thread? i'm getting those hoop creases and little bit of dirty rings despite being really careful to wash my hands prior to picking it up.

I'm not sure as I've never used the thread. I would suggest if you have any thread left over, washing it and seeing if the thread bleeds first. I do my best to keep everything clean as well and it never fails to have something get it dirty.. I am victim the dirty hoop rings as well. I can't stand them!

Would it help if you tightly bind the hoops with some fabric before using them? That would hopefully stop the dirty marks for you.

It's been two weeks since I last updated. I was going for weekly, but since I did almost no stitching in New Hampshire I didn't have much progress to show. I tried scanning the pic this time around rather than taking a picture. It does better detail I think.
