I really like your interpretation of the design, and DMC 4210 is one of my favourites, as it's slightly more subtle than other variegated threads. As for the opalescent fabric, well, why not! :lol:

I've seen so many variations of this design it's almost a classic now. I have it in my stash to do at some point as well. But the great thing about it is, everyone's interpretation looks so different, it may as well be a new design each time. There's no 'wrong' answer, anything goes! (and like Mabel says, there's even a wholly beaded version ... that must've taken FOREVER! :shock: )

Anyway, I LOVE your version of the variegated red on opalescent, traditional with a twist! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

From your photos, it looks like it stitches up quite quickly, or is your needle steaming?! :lol:
