I'll be starting as well...as soon as I saw the design I eyed a piece of extra fabric out of the corner of my eye that'd be perfect and been saving it for when I had time. Will have plenty after tomorrow!

I started mine this morning! I am stitching on a piece of 28 count peach/tan dyed evenweave which Kell kindly sent me a while back. It's exactly the right size for this sampler and I think I might then sew a piece of fabric to the back, stuff it and make a little cushion or hanging.

I started with a "rusty brown" floss and stitched the word "Stash-a-holic" today and will take a picture later. For the floss, I'm using oddments from a bag of dozens of tangled threads which I inherited from my Nan. I think she mostly used Coats floss - most of the labels are missing though! Amazingly they have survived being stored for over 30 years and are still strong and brightly coloured (they have been stored in a dark cupboard in a plastic bag).

Great fabric, Sarah!

I started mine but as I was getting the colours together realised that really I want to use different ones for about half of them  so I spent most of the evening colour-picking, some stitching, and some frogging because I had positioned the first i wrong underneath its dot  .

Anyway, here's mine so far -- like Sarah I started with the words, but I started with the top one:

Great start, Mabel - sorry you had to frog though! I stitched the word "official" this morning in red floss. I think I will start on the bobbins next.

I started the picture today....here is what I have so far.

I tried using DMC #115 and #103 for the floss. It's varigated floss but it doesn't show up very well.

I still like the picture though.

Great start, Blue, you have done loads!

I stitched one of the bobbins this morning. Think I will do the other bobbin tomorrow and then do an update picture.

Mabel, I was thinking of stitching this again and then sewing the two pieces together to make a double-sided hanging or cushion. Did you design the alphabet yourself? The reason being, I thought it might be fun to put "Official HAED-case" on the other side so I would need an "e" and capital "H A E D" if possible. Please? :beg:
