Don't know if it quite counts as stash, but I did get some wonderful new stitchy books:

Beginner's Guide to Crewel Embroidery
The New Crewel
The Embroidery Stitch Bible

The last one is a fabulous spiral bound book of embroidery stitches which seems to cover every stitch imaginable !

Hmmm...what is this? Sounds very interesting. Is there a link you could share for that?

This is the actual design concept, but mine looks heaps cuter and has big floppy ears. I dont know what mine is called as no tag on it, it was a present so I googled "sheep toy flat pillow" and got this UK site

I got a kit for a Pearsalls Rhodes Stitch book cover which I saw at a craft fair and mentioned to my mother, who was going to the same fair the following day. She remembered and got it for me! I'm delighted. The stitching element seems achieveable enough but the making-up instructions I'll need help with!! I'm no seamstress!

I didn't think I was getting any stash - my main present from OH was one of the Trail of Painted Pony ornaments I collect - he got me one called Prairie Horizon and he must be psychic because I never said which one I wanted next but this one was top of my list.

However, when we saw my parents on Boxing Day I found out Mum had got me a HAED chart - Ciro Marchetti's "Tree of Life" which I was raving about a while back. I had logged on my Mum's computer to show her a picture of it and little did I know, but she was elbowing OH behind my back and whispering, so between them they cooked up getting it for me as Mum doesn't know how to get things online or download them, hahaha.

No cross stitch specific stuff :( Though to be fair, I've got quite a lot of big projects waiting, so not sure what I'd have done with more and hubby is still somewhat baffled by the idea of buying threads, so it's probably safest he didn't try

Did however from the inlaws get Alison Smith's The Sewing Book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sewing-Book-Ali ... 1405335556" target="_blank. Only dipped into it so far, but it's fantastic, lots of easy to follow explanations and some projects to try.

My grandad gave me a tenner. I just found one of the kits I absolutely adore in the sewandso sale. It's £11 something, but I'm more than happy to pay the extra out of my pocket. Does that count? It's a picture of my cat!

isn't it lovely? I've wanted it for ages! Since I got my cat possibly. It's just soooo Mitzy! He has a box with treats, food, documents and everything and I think this should hang right over it!

I did have some trouble ordering it though. it's from sew and so, but everytime I tried adding it to my basket, it added vargated thread instead...Nice, but not right. So I emailed them and they sorted me out pretty quickly.
