I love Maxine Gadd's designs, this one looks great! Interesting to hear how many lilacs and pinks are in there though! :applesauce:

Oh you picked the graphite one to start on, goody, that was my favourite from your list! It's strange to think there are so many colours to make up a "monochrome" picture, but at least it won't get boring :-)

well my threads havent arrived in the post yet so ive only done black so far but that is the main colour all the way round it anyway i will post a picture when i finish the black one page one which should be very soon :dance: so far im loving every minute on this design but that might change lol

finished size is going to be 19 x 25 1/2 inches as im doing it on 14 count aida so far i am still waiting for my stash of threads to come through so im getting on with as much black outline as i can which is a good idea considering there are 15 skiens of the stuff used in this might im really loving it so far here is all the black from page one i have now gone on to page two

What a shame you're still waiting on your threads!!!! Fortunatly it hasn't hindered your progress. I think it looks pretty cool all outlined in black... it would be nice to have the pic above and then the pic with the color added side by side.. but I'm a weirdo like that :wub:

I love the outlining too (I'm doing that with my Charlie's Ark piece - sort of an Assissi Charlie waiting to be brought to life within the picture I've stitched around him - LOL!).

here is another photo update on this i still havent put any colours in this i have decided to do as much background as i can and then do the colours last thought it might be a fun way to do it i have done all black from page two now except one bit and gone across all the way to show the width of it doing this inbetween umbrella sky and afew other projects

it is a little but there is that much black border in this i thought i might as well get on with it i have the reward of my other more colourful projects too so it shouldnt be too much of a struggle
