Did my very first picots at the stitching group this afternoon    I was very sensible and did a practice bit first, but the method for doing picots that they describe in this series works really well for me (I'd tried another method some time ago and they just disappeared :-( ). Now all I have to do is work on my placement...

Only four beads to attach and it's finished, so I'll post a pic then!

Beautiful work! It's hard to see how you could make it better, but I'm looking forward to the "finish" :applesauce:

Finished
This was really nice to do, and the kit was well-stocked -- I used a larger piece of fabric but that's just because I wanted to use a hoop, and of all the other materials (stranded cotton, perles, Petite Treasure Braid, beads) there was a generous supply. And all that for about £4.50!

Anyway, here is the finished article, and I'm jolly pleased with the picots even if they aren't quit central to the bars :-)

Wow Mabel that looks great! I just brought Level 1 #1,2,3 as i've never tried to do any other stiches other than Cross, long and back stitch i thourght this would be a good way to learn and as you said very cheap! can't imagine doing anything as complicated as this tho.

Well Done!
