A bit late but as promised a pic of all the madonnas -- the one in the bottom right hand corner still needs the beads in her halo removed and replaced with treasure braid, but all the others have been mounted and the cards inside have got "A Christmas Blessing" in calligraphy

Mabel, such beautiful work as usual.

I thought that the bag I made for my SIL was a bit bland so I went through my stash and found a bit of bling to add to it. This is what I came up with.

Here's the re-stitched Madonna, who now has a halo of Petite Treasure Braid instead of beads -- oh well, better to find out now before I was going to use that fly-fishing silk to attach beads to my hardanger bellpull
