So we have Star Stitch, Rhodes Square, Fancy Cross Stitch, Tied Windmill Stitch and Leaf Stitch. Horace the rabbit is an Oval Rhodes and Octagonal Rhodes and Lester the owl is Knit Stitch and Straight Stitch.

Now I need your opinions - should I add beads and if so petite seed beads or normal size? I *have* to place an order with Sew and So in the next few days for some Silk' n' Colours and Caron Waterlillies so will order some then if you think it needs the bling!

Looking forward to seeing all your completed TOS! Roll on the Great Escape SAL!

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful. I don't think it needs the bling, but then to be honest, I don't tend to like most of the bling anyway. I love to admire the stitches and not be distracted, but that is me.
You did a wonderful wonderful job.

It's wonderful! :applesauce: Personally, I'd say no to the beads because all the specialty stitches are so wonderful and the beads might draw away the eye when gazing rapturously at it. Just my opinion. :)

:applesauce: fantastic finish!! Very nice--as for the beads, I really don't think it needs them but again, it all depends on how you want it to look :)

Your TOS looks absolutely beautiful! It would be an interesting touch to add some beads in- where are you thinking of placing them? Scattered thoughout the "leaves"? I'm sure either way you decide it will still look fabulous :D

It looks gorgeous Amanda. I think it looks great without the beads, but then again it might look even more amazing with beads.

Yup, I'm no help at all ;)

Congrats on the finish :applesauce:

It looks wonderful.....as for beads...I don't think I would embellish this piece too much, if it were me I think I may be tempted to just use a couple of petite seeds as eyes for Lester, after all, you don't want to detract anybodys attention from all of those lovely speciality stitches!

You have chosen such gorgeous colours and the tree is stunning! As for the beads, the tree is so lovely that I don't think it NEEDS it, but personally I love a bit of bling, and the way they are spaced on the chart I don't think they're overpowering, although it probably works best with a neutral shade, because so much is already going on in the design.
I'll be using petite beads myself but that's because I'm working on a finer count; mind you, on a larger count petite beads look lovely too, just tiny pinpricks of sparkle!

Your tree is enchanting!!
I think it looks fantastic without the beads but I could as well imagine it with some beads in it. But it's up to you =)
Anyway, fantastic stitching! :applesauce:

Beautiful finish! If it were mine, I'd probably add the beads as I like the effect, but it's also beautiful as is. I've just recently joined that group, so I don't know how soon I'll do the TOS, but I am on track for The Great Escape! Theresa

Here is a picture of TOS - now complete with beads. I chose MH crystal beads that probably don't show up well in the pic but give a little sparkle IRL - also got rid of the hoop marks  :

Didn't realise I would start such a craze when I posted about this one! So glad so many of you are stitching your own now!
I've also completed the second page on HAED QS Believe - now 50% complete:

Think I might treat myself to a new start this weekend with Springtime Roses. I also have some research and reading to do on my latest chart purchases (thank you Mabel :D )

Happy stitching everyone!

Usually I'm a bling gal... but I love it just the way it is.. I don't think beads would hurt, but like others have said it very well might distract from the specialty stitches... :thinks:

This is gorgeous! It was fantastic without the beads but I can see how they give it a bit of "shimmer".

Your QS looks amazing! :applesauce: :applesauce:
