Awwww thanks Carole....ahem I mean Laverne Jess is made up with Laverne's portrait picture....it put a huge smile on her face Jess said that Laverne seems to be saying " You've got a picture now where are my treats?!!" Well she said it's either that or she is giving her the love eyes......(thats what she calls it when our cat closes her eyes slowly at her...the love eyes!)

Thanks again you've made her day!

just what I needed on this hot humid morning - a nice bit of Jess, and the 2 Laverne's. Got me smiling thats for sure. Thanks ladies.

I am so glad that Laverne is providing so much entertainment. You are all lucky that you don't witness me arguing and fighting with her about her gets to control the stitching! I should take a picture of her pouting when she loses the argument (or one of me pouting when I lose?). And I love Jesse's description of "love eyes". That is so wonderfully descriptive of what cats' eyes are like when they do that almost asleep look.
Back to stitching now. I am making great progress on page 7 as there are a lot of big blocks of color and not as much confetti. Yay!

too funny!! My daughter's cat Scratchy has taken to laying in my lap while I stitch... he attacked my hand... he's strong! No longer a kitten that's for sure I still won the battle though!!! Or did he win because I gave him a spare piece of floss to entertain him for a bit?

My weekly update. I thought about waiting until I finished this page, but these weekly updates have really kept me motivated to stick with it, though I have to admit I am really itching to work on some of the others. I miss them. First, of cours, making Jess' "love eyes" (couldn't believe it when she jumped on the cross stitch and made those eyes at me) is Miss Stitchy Cat:

and the update. There have been lots of large blocks of colors and this page really seems to have flown. And the bottom left corner is there now. YAY!

Wonderful progress. keep going.

I really spent a lot of time working on this this weekend. Finished page 7 (and 10 which is only 4 normal rows - not 4 10 x 10 rows), but the skirt is really developing so I am posting now and getting ready to do page 8 which I have a little bit done on, anyway since that is where some of the thread took me. You can tell that last night Laverne was studying how much we had done on the chart.

and today didn't seem to want to let me see what was left. We had a serious discussion as to who had possession of the chart. Those are not "love eyes". Those are "I dare you to move me" eyes.

And my update.

All 3 photos are supposed to be the same size. One day I will figure this out.

February 22 (easy to remember for those of us who used to get Washington's Birthday off of school as a holiday - before President's Day bunched them up together!) so I have an extra 3 weeks, sort of. I don't have a clue how to do the framing though. Haven't framed anything in years since I was only stitching afghans (to avoid framing). I am going to have to find a place that will do cross stitch well and I don't think Michaels' is my best bet. I will have to start calling around I guess. I don't know if I can do this myself and I think it would be tacky to send it to her to get framed.
