So sorry about your cat. They are family and it hurts when they leave us. I too think you did the right thing. It is very tricky making sure that we are providing them medical treatment to make them feel better, and not just to keep them alive for us.
But your stitching is lovely! I really love snowmen and that piece is so sweet. The other piece has such soothing colors.
I hope things turn around and get better soon.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! They are really appreciated.
I don't think my parents are going to get any more cats after the one they have now passed (she's only like 9 or 10 so they should have many more years together) because of all the heartache. My mom wasn't ready when we got the two that have now passed on a month after the previous ones passing (feline leukemia so we had to wait a month for health issues for new cats.) I on the other hand get even more sad when there aren't any in my house and am itching to give ALL the kitties homes (even if I can only reasonably care for 2.. maybe 3, but my husband would never left me have three). I feel so lonely without a furbaby!
We are taking my parents out to dinner tonight and going to the Home & Garden Show together so we're trying to keep my mom active. She's making me q-snap covers too!!

She might not be "working" but she's still doing things around the house and for me. She made me some curtains for my french doors too!

Finished another Christmas ornament (the stitching part anyway):
And did a bit more work on my Tiramisu as well:
I've also started a snowman (shhh don't tell Rose) for my mother in-law for her birthday. It's the free October one by Vermillion. She really liked the one I made her for Christmas (Decembers') so I asked if she would like another one and she said yes. Halloween is her favorite holiday so I figured October was a good choice. Nothing interesting to show for that yet though. I only started last night after going through all of my fabric stash before deciding that Pearl Gray Laguna would work fine (I think blue would have been nicer but I didn't feel like spending any more money right now). =)
I'm think about joining Steph's fabric of the month, does anyone else belong to it? I was originally thinking about Crafty Kitten's but with shipping to the US it's too expensive for me and I probably don't need more than 1 piece of fabric a month anyway.

I think these two paragraphs contradict each other with spending... whatever.

I know I'm coming late the party, since it is old news from February, but I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I know how you feel. I lost my cat of 18 years in September (I had had him since 3rd grade). He got a blood clot in his leg. We noticed him acting weird at 7:00 and by 11:00 he was gone. Rough night.
Anyway, my condolences, and I hope you're holding up well. Sorry for being behind the pack, I'm new to the forum and am just now catching up.
Keep up the good work! Love all the pics.

I got a lot of stitching time in this weekend, I have a friend who stopped over on Saturday night on her way cross country (she is moving from the North East to the... Mid-west (is Colorado still the Midwest?)). She didn't arrive until about 3am so I had allllll day to stitch.
My husband has been wanting a Megaman cross stitch for awhile now, so I started and completed this for him:
It turned out quite small, the frame that I have for it is also pretty small, but still too large, so I think I am going to stitch another megaman in a different pose and then put it in the frame to fill it out a bit more....
I also started this for my mother in law's birthday in June (Rose will be able to tell right away what it is since it's her favorite subject):
Only 4 days until my husband & I leave for sunny Mexico! It is currently 27 outside.

I thought it was spring now!

cute little Megaman. And I think your MIL's gift is going to be great in June. When the snows of this winter have been gone for at least a month or so.

Looks like you are making good progress on it!

Well, I have been busy but not that busy. I need your opinion on my monogram:
I'm not sure which to add:
"Established
May XX, 2014"
or
"Est. 2014"
I have plenty of fabric left, so I think I'm leaning towards the first which lists out the date my only concern is that Established is longer than their last name sooo it might look silly... Thoughts? I'm probably going to "ghetto" frame it (as in, do it myself with a mat that I can find at the store) because I've been waiting much too long, she's getting married in only a few weeks! I don't think a framer will have enough time... and I'm cheap...
And I've worked a bit more on my Tiramisu (and a lot this weekend, but haven't taken a picture yet). I'm almost done with page one!!!
I reallllly wanted to finish up page one before I picked up my MIL's snowman, but her birthday is mid/late June and I really don't want to be scrambling to get it done in time.

Finished the monogram! Going to go buy a frame tonight!
I also started a Mothers' Day gift, I'm 75% down, I'm hoping to finish it before I head to the store tonight so I can get a frame for it too.
