Nearly half there! It's always great to see how such completely random-seeming stitches suddenly add up to a rune or a shadow or a leg.

Erm.
No, I can't say it's a problem. Possibly because both charts use the same symbols for the same symbol number. And maybe because there are so many numbers associated with it. Almost every thread colour is a blend of two threads, and there are 116 of them in each project. That's way too many to remember, so I don't bother, just swap over the chart & thread cards when I move from one to the other, and my mind remains completely empty at all times! [Yes, that last statement can be taken at least 2 ways, as intended]

Richard.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Fantastic update!! I love it when what seems like a disconnected group of stitches suddenly turn into something beautiful. I think that is the magic of stitching!

I have just finished page 20 of Luz,
Image
Didn't take too long, started on 13 Oct and finished this page yesterday. The result is:

That's 54551 stitches, of the 110730 total in the project meaning I'm 49.2% of the way through, and have finished 50% of the pages. Now I can move to Gryff.
Phew.

Regards,

Richard.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

It has felt a bit of a struggle to make any progress recently, work has been getting frantic and I've been going to a jewellery making course of an evening. Those things combined with the change in clocks has led to me feeling like a zombie most of the time at home.

Maybe things will improve, but #2 spacecraft container is now pushing its way to the front of the 'To do: Urgent' list. #2 is smaller and simpler than #1. It should be less than 10 tonnes all up weight (compared to 22 Tonnes), and instead of 22 electric motors onboard it has 2. OK, it has air conditioning, oxygen sensors, shock sensors, lights, fans, a small workshop and a CCTV system, but it's really simple in comparison.

Regards,

Richard.

This is very beautiful Richard! I look forward to seeing further updates. I know what you mean about the clock change. It always takes me a while to adapt and zombie mode is the overriding force at the moment! I hope you feel more energised soon.

Its looking great, there has been a fair bit of progress on it since I last had chance to come to the forum.

Ive not been doing much myself for a while, been ultra busy the past 8 months, Having been house hunting and buying my first house :whoop:

Hopefully once ma and my wife are fully settled in and got all the DIY, decorating ect done ill get around to doing some more stitching.

I look forward to seeing more of this as it develops.

Best Regards,

Wolfie :puppy:

Stitching does take time and is no good to do it under stress. It is a brilliant project and will evolve in its own time. :)
Your work latest demands sound awesome and very demanding.

Wolfie,

I had nigh on a year when I really wasn't able to do much. I restarted this yesterday, and have got about 300 stitches into sheet 6 of 20.

Regards,

Richard.
