Well, I have just finished crosstitching the second "Tea and Coffee" tablerunner from Merejka. The first took me roughly 22 days( April 21- May 13) minus Sundays as they are stitching-free), the second- 25 days (May 14 - 8th of June) as it was obviously harder on my eyes on the 14ct Aida. Now the backstitch. Tomorrow will be a day off anyway, as after the long weekend there will be loads of work. I still cant believe I did it! :whoop:

Thank you. I have already done some backstitch on the latest owls. Need both the tablerunners to be finished by the end of the month.

Thank you to all those who were supporting me in my fighting backstitch. I have just washed the tablerunner for a colleague. According to Murphy's law, humidity is very high after daily rains, so it will be drying forever on the balcony, I think. I am going to complete the BS on the other tablerunner today as there is a fantastic kit on its way to me, so I need to have my hands free to start it, possibly even today or tomorrow. Funny, how BS may turn into a pleasure when you see the light in the tunnel and it is not a train, it is a happy finish. :whoop:

A new kit on the way is a good incentive to get the rest of the b/s done. Good luck that it goes smoothly and your hands are free to enjoy the next one. :D

I did it! :whoop: :whoop: The second table runner is drying on the balcony. We had daily rains for all last week, but today even the weather decided to support me- it is +28 C and sunny. The only thing that kept me sane with all that stitching (and especially backstitching!) was my wish to see them completed, washed, ironed and packed to be handed to the birthday "kids"(one-46yo, the other-well above 50). Hope to show photos of the finishes first thing tomorrow.

Now to finish a butterfly (Mabel, you are responsible for my stitching it)on plastic canvas to go with the Easter towel next month instead of a card.
After all my preaching about Merejka's terrible BS, if I grab some of its latest kits that did catch my eye, I will... Of course, you guessed correctly- I will stitch them at once.

Well Done Lyudmyla, it looks totally amazing. How useful to have a line on the balcony to dry things. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:
