I shouldn't tell Ok, ok, a couple of clues: I am back on my Peacock Tapestry and it is spring so I am spending more time in my garden, so think something challenging that combines both of those

I will remember when I next buy stash that I am doing it for unselfish reasons. I never knew that before, but it does make sense, in an odd sort of way.

Its just arrived: Peacocks and gardens as promised:



It is the same sort of size as my Peacock Tapestry and the Garden Sampler that Terresa Wentzler did.

Other than the rusty needle pinned through a scrap piece of aida is looks to be all there

Great find with that kit though Jo and yes it will go perfectly with your Peacock Tapestry.

A couple of weeks ago I let someone see my 84L really useful box of "ready for stitching" cross stitch kits. She was somewhat overwhelmed by the number I had in there. Good job she did not turn round and see the real stash in the corner behind her

Together with the previous purchase, yes, they will hopefully produce two versions of dodo (as he is a mixed dodo/peacock he will be known as Do-Pea )

Fortunately my thread stash is hidden in a cabinet in my kitchen hutch and the overwhelming # of charts are in a few files on my computer (they are big files). Oh, I forgot the file cabinet in my office/computer room/ Rosey's room which is stuffed with charts.

As for stash I am starting to see just how much I have/had in my big cupboard as I try to find places to put it all in my new abode.

I recently found these very useful floss drops on Etsy (made by a small UK supplier). They are made from MDF, very smooth and just the right size. They come with hinged rings to keep them on as well, although I haven't used those yet. The description says they're too small to write numbers on,but I found there was plenty of room.

Oooooooh, I haven't seen the floss drops before, very useful.

I think they may fall into the category of "I need these", not "I want these"

They come in all sorts of materials (and shapes), from card to thin plastic, but I thought this MDF would be both sturdy and manageable, and they weren't too expensive compared to the card ones.
