I always just lurk- but i had to comment on how beautiful this is. I hope- if i ever get married- to do this design myself. No luck yet

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone. It's not quite as close to finish as it looks, still have a chunk of white on the dress (3 skeins worth) then the metallic border and the bride's maid (if I change my mind again and decide to put her in).

Stunning! :D :applesauce: You are doing a wonderful job - and such neat stitching, too!

I've been looking at the pic, and thinking about what colour ribbons I would use myself - and it's quite difficult to decide, as I figure you found yourself?! Anyway, first I thought blue, but decied it wasn't really right, then I noticed you said there was a metallic border, so I started to visualise the ribbons as silver or gold...

I'll be very interested to see the colour you choose - I'm sure it will be just right! :D

the original colour for the ribbons is antique blue, but I didn't like it, plus it's one of the bride's least favorite colours.
I've come up with a few different colours to try and I'm test stitching them at the moment to see how the shading looks with them
