I got a nice longstitch kit

I did a longstitch kit once, a good few years ago (it was a picture of Garfield!) and really enjoyed it so decided to give it another shot with the help of ebay

I got two kits I have been waiting for...Bag Ladies, which is a collection of cats climbing in and out of shopping bags. The other one is a Dimensions Gold kit called Leonardo, this is a picture of a cat snuggled down among art materials. Already started Leonardo.

I got the leaflet I won on ebay for a Teresa Wentzler design called
millennium. It's a discontinued pattern. What I didn't realize until I had it in hand and could read the chart is that it's worked on 28 count over two except for some places where it's over 1. I don't know how well I'll be able to see a 28ct fabric and the pattern doesn't make it any easier to convert it to something else. Oh well. It's not like this is the only pattern I have to work on so it might be awhile before I attempt it.

I received Chapters (online book store) gift certificates for my birthday this week, so naturally I spent them on stitching books:
Fantasy Cross Stitch (Lesley Teare)
Bewitching Cross Stitch (Joan Elliott)
Stitch Wit and Wisdom (Joan Elliott)
Ancient Egyptian Cross Stitch (Barbara Hammett)
Received the first three and awaiting the last one.
Now -- the only question is, where do I start?!

Well Daz just think you have extras in reserve for when you need them later on.

The postman was very nice ands brought me loads of stash today (well, some came yesterday but I couldn't get to the post office to pick it up until today).
Anyway, loads of it, so I took a pic!
Pako needle organiser and thread organiser.
Scroll frame.
(These are for the MASSIVE project I have in the pipeline, probably start in a few weeks).
Wedding kit to do for my cousin. It's really cute, heart and flowers with a little pearly bead.
Replacement copy of mag with Chinese phoenix chart (unripped!).
Square frames. Going to use these for the Oriental flowers pieces.
32 Madeira Glissen Glass threads. These are so yummy. Think I'll use them for a peacock project I have in mind.

I got a couple of packages today - the 5 DMC colours I was still missing for my picture of Trojan, 2 squares of felt to complete my mitten and my friendship exchange, some brake pads for my motorbike

and a phone bill. Hahah - it was much less than I was expecting so I count that as something nice.

All my postie brought was letters from people wanting to sell me stuff, and my Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Nothing fun or exciting at all.

Lovely stash Meg -- the Glissengloss looks good enough to eat

!
Happy dance for me -- the postman brought me the replacement bookends that I've been waiting for for two months, and they're lovely! So when this hectic weekend is over, I can begin to think about stitching DH's birthday/anniversary present

I got a lovely chart from Midge, thank you! And two cross stitch mags from eBay, one of which wasn't the one I wanted after all which is a little irritating (my mistake).
