That's wonderful Carole, must be great to stitch something other than background (which looks a very similar colour to Laverne's fur, at least in your photos!).

It's good to see this one again - progress is definitely being made, and it's fantastic.

It was my pleasure!! The frames went to a very good home.

That is lovely! I've skimmed back through the thread to see your progress as it looks soooooo good. My kitties like to help as well. I was wondering if the niece is married yet? I only ask because I have one I need to start for my future son-in-law…….. Does it really matter how long they're married before they get the piece? Does it make a difference if they know about it vs not?

My niece will be married in October and my plan is to give her the Sampler (finally finished it yesterday, except for the framing, and plan to post a pic today) at a bridal shower planned for August. I don't think it matters when you give such a personal gift as a wedding or baby sampler. My problem is that I have a very hard time not giving a gift I've made as soon as it is finished. My sister got her Hardanger Sampler last May, which was supposed to be a birthday present in February,as soon as I finished it. I like gifts to be surprises when possible.

Hoping to make good progress on this piece as it is my primary project, which for me means that I will rotate back to it more often. I love stitching it, so after i get a page done on O Kitten Tree, I'll be back to this to finish the row. Takes a little longer since my assistant doesn't supervise on beautiful sunny days.
Page 10 close up:
Trying to get a picture of the whole piece to date:
and finally with not even a tail swishing (but if there were sound you could hear a loud protest and I think a few feline 4 letter words were included)
Thanks for looking!

Super pretty! I'm torn between wanting to see more on this or more actual kitty's on O kitten tree. My friend "lurks" looking for o Kitten tree she loves it!
Your cats seem as helpful as mine. Last night Waffles decided she didn't like where I was on chart and moved it to a different location in my computer screen
Can't wait to see up dates on either piece

Looks amazing! I've just shown one of my cats the photos, whilst telling her, "Oh look someone else has a cat as helpful as you and your sister." She's taken this a permission to move around and be in the way even more!

You are much braver than I in letting a fleabag on your work. I think I'd have had the screaming habdabs. Our Ozzie, being a Maine Coon, now has 3/4" long claws to 'accidentally' snag things with. Wouldn't trust him with it.
Apart from that, it's looking great, you are to be congratulated.
thank you everyone for your lovely comments. I really do appreciate them.
Richard, the pictures of my mistress (she gets Advantage II on her neck monthly to prevent her being a fleabag - they are a real problem here and I do whatever I can to not have to flea bomb the house. Doesn't matter if the cat is indoors, fleas come in through window screens and on the bottom of pants. One of the ongoing battles with bugs we have to put up with), are due to the disagreement we were having as to what should be the focus of my attention in taking the photo. She was pretty sure that nothing could be more photogenic, adorable and desirable than she is. I guess I've been very lucky all these years that while I have a lot of furniture which provides evidence that this is a feline focused environment, none of my afghans or other cross stitch has ever been harmed.
