He's far too big to be a bookmark! Looking great though
What a shame about your sewing shop, definitely a good reason for some more stash spending though to stock up!

Sad news too...
My local little sewing shop is closing its doors on 31 March.
So sad as I have got to know the owner really well and we have quite a friendship going.
Maybe we should swap phone numbers.
Anyway she is also having 40% off in store so I've bought up a few DMC colours. Sewing machine needles and cotton etc.
Mine closed a couple of years or more ago.

There isn't another one in the city that I've been able to find, either. It's so sad. Then stitchers have to get stuff on-line, so more little shops have to close down... it's such a shame. Mine had a framing service, too, and I've no idea where to look for framing any more. A local shop that does photo framing has shown a mild interest, but not sure if they will be able do any for me.
Treebeard is coming on wonderfully, though!

Tree Beard is really taking shape and will soon be all finished.
Shops closing down are a pain. My local quilt shop has gone now, so it means 2 buses to go get DMC threads. Not found an embroidery shop at all yet.
Is Hands Craft store up in Papanui/Bryndwr still there - I used to get a lot of supplies from there - especially after Ballantynes went out of craft things.
Hope you find somewhere.

I put piping around it and backed it with the same material.
Hubby says it definitely is not a bookmark. Have no idea what to use it for though..... lol usually my creations are functional.
