Serinde and Wendy, I love having your beautiful pieces as motivators and guides. I will keep posting to this thread (but might have to edit the subject for the update Dates, if that is okay with you Serinde since mine is just getting started). I hope that some of the others who are also in process (cairee, are you still stitching this one and jo, have you gotten started?) will stick with me. I finally got what seemed like the never ending border finished. My fault it took so long with more miscounting than I remember in a long time. But after triple checking and counting over and over to make sure that my squares have the same number of "holes" as in the chart (which I have to admit is not the easiest one for me to follow - but then I'm spoiled by Mabel's charts or maybe I'm just used to them) and have started with square #1. Will post that when its finished.

Sorry about the bad light on this photo.

Please keep your :x: that I don't have any problems with the cutting. Glad I have Mabel's squissors.

:whoop: :whoop: Yay you've started! I love that pink.
I must admit that the border was Tedious  But having done that it's so easy to place the motifs...plus you Know that you've got enough fabric!

I've started the penultimate one...no photos at the moment as my camera/phone has gone on strike! :x I'll get D/H and his camera to photo the last few when I've finished.

Do change title as you wish to show updates...keeps it all 'active' I want to see Everyone's versions!

Wonderful start -- you'll be glad you have the border behind you, believe me! Mr :ribbit: and I made friends doing it, too, so you aren't alone there.

Feel free to change dates, etc: this is the SAL for this design, so reflects all of our work.

Thought I would post a pic of the first square before cutting. I actually messed up on the center set of Kloster blocks, and though I was able to fix it, I think, I am probably going to bring Mr. :anotherfrog: back in and restitch it before I cut since the thought of messing it up is more than I can deal with. And that will be a quick restitch.

thank you all for looking.
Wendy, I caught most of my mistakes anyway. But was able to hide and fix where I mis snipped. Good thing I don't have to show the back

I didn't realize how close our two colors are. I know yours is anchor and there is gray instead of white but so close. and then I'm alternating with the Ecru, which is close to Serinde's color choice. I wonder where I got the idea for my palette?

Just finished square one and starting square two. More pics tomorrow, I hope.

I'm flattered that you think I may have influenced your colour choice...even if it was subversively

Can't wait to see how the alternate colour motifs work out!

The back of mine is pretty messy too, but as long as there are no stray threads showing at the front...do I look bothered?

Excellent start, Carole. Lovely colours. I suspect another frog-fry is due, possibly in honour of Rose... Then perhaps he'd leave you be!

@WWW: a wily wombat will have her way, colourwise? :P
