Fantastic work!! :applesauce: I've recently switched to the snap frames and I haven't noticed that issue, but then a lot of the time I keep it in my stand, so that probably cuts down on the strain a lot. Good luck with finishing the flame and tail. I bet you can do a wonderful job on both without the chart.

He looks fabulous. I just love all the colours in him. Good luck with the rest of the tail, but I'm sure you'll do a fine job of it :)

I tend to balance the clip frame on my thumb too so I've started putting it in my stand unless I'm doing a lot of confetti and need to keep flipping it. It wasn't bothering my thumb, but I thought it might do if I stitched for too long in that position. Hope your thumb recovers quickly :)

Wonderful :applesauce: :applesauce: Your dragon really is gorgeous. I use snap frames and I can see how it might cause the strain on your thumb, although it has, so far, not been an issue for me. I hope your thumb gets better quickly.

Wonderful work! I know how tough it is working on black fabric, so I appreciate it that much more :)

Thanks, everyone for your lovely comments!

Here we are again! Not done any of the additional stitching yet, but there is a small progress report:

Now that I have finished the Aboriginal Turtle, I have turned my attention back to my dragon.
I have traced the tail end shape in the original pic, plus traced, reversed and modified the flame for the part that is not there, transferred the tracing to small grid, and upsized it to match chart grid.
I now have to select the most appropriate parts of the completed chart to match colours for both areas, and then get stitching!

Annoyingly, I cut a finger yesterday which didn't really stop bleeding for hours (kept soaking through the plaster, ugh!), then I knocked it this morning and set it off again. It's on the top knuckle of the third finger of my right hand (did it on a grater) just exactly where it will touch the fabric when stitching, so I probably won't start stitching for another couple of days. Grrrrrr!
On the good side, my left thumb is MUCH improved!
