i didn't think there was anything worse than confetti stitching. now i'm thinking confetti stitching in 50shades of red might kill a person!! i can't believe your progress.

Nikecam, the background is actually just made up of 4 main shades - a black, brown, purple & red. It's the skin tones where there's most confetti (and where most of the 90 colours come from!)
I don't think I'll ever want to see DMC 154 or 814 again after this project!!!

the red background area looks much more detailed. i'm always amazed at how seemingly nonsense patterns turn into so great designs when you step back.

Here she is with 3 & a half rows done! Quite a big update from last time but it's not that interesting to see more and more reddish background appear
I've reached her skirt now though so am hoping the background will gradually be less as it flares out towards the bottom

Wow, she's looking amazing and you've got loads done! It's a wonder there aren't black smudges on it from the smoke coming off your needle!

Looking forward to seeing her skirt develop now.
