I've just finished pulling all the canvas off and I wasn't gonna show you until it was washed and ironed, but I could't resist.

So here is my finished bag, I'll change the picture once the bag is more presentable :)

Xandra that looks great! Did you find it at all difficult to work directly on to the bag?

It looks wonderful Kerry.

Now do yourself a favour and do some stitching with some nice ordinary cottons ;)

Mabel - yes it was a real hassel, first with how you had to force the needle through, my thumbs are still hurting, then with having to have one hand in the bag, not a very comfortable way to stitch.
The most problematic thing though was revealed after I'd pulled the canvas out, I hadn't kept the thread tight enough for the backstitch and beads. I'll chalk that one up to experience though, I'll know next time.

Kerry - yours is gorgeous, all those metallics would have driven me mad. Well done on getting through it :)

Yes, I definitely found that when doing my Stash/Budget bag, which is why for the second side I chose to do a patch, same as for SIL's Dare to be Different bag.

Do you now have wobbly beads? You could always say you did it on purpose so they would catch the light in interesting ways with their movements :-)
