Postie has just delivered child's waterproof trousers and jacket for my daughter's sailing course which starts in ... oh, 75 minutes. That's what I call just-in-time delivery!

And perhaps more excitingly, a little packet from Sew And So containing a few embellishments for a cupcake project I am doing for a friend (will post a SAL in due course when I start). Also a single Marlitt thread and a single Rajmahal thread to try each.

The all important WOX from Midge and a most beautifully made perganamo card from her, thank you so much I really do appreciate your thoughtfulness. Could you PM me you full address please as I am not sure whether the cheque woul get to you successfully with what is written on the envelope.

Anyway, postie brought me (at 7.30am - wasn't dressed ... again. They're used to it. I actually said to the postman a while back, "I feel I need to tell you I DO own clothes"! So many times had he called while I was still in my pjs. (School holidays, lazy starts, that's my excuse).)

I digress, postie bought me some new bargain Anchor threads (from ebay, from India ... need to compare to see if dye lots are similar/same enough but t'was such a bargain price I couldn't resist) ...

AND the L&L chart from coffee_freak. Thank you so much Wendy! She's beautiful. I haven't shared this on the forum before but my brother's new daughter has been born with a hitherto undiscovered genetic condition. The medical profession can only guess based on existing knowledge of similar (but different) conditions, suggesting that she could grow to be be really quite disabled. But the fact is that she's currently healthy so now it's a waiting game, perhaps for years and years. I will stitch the Angel of Hope for her as we hope and pray that she will continue to be healthy .

28ct Cashel Linen in Antique White and Confederate Gray and 16 Crescent Colours.Don't you love the names they give the colours.And 1 thread each from the The Gentle Art Works and Weeks Dye works.Never used any of them before so cant wait to finish off what I'm doing now and start something new.

I will add my prayers to Slinky this is so ditressful. I had a niece with a medical that the doctors were at a loss to figure out for months. They finally got a cause and now she is doing well but the chance of a injury is high so they have to watch her like a hawk and she is such a little tomboy. Can't even remember the illnesses name but it is very rare.

Nothing stitching connected, I got a load of books from the book people a pack of M C Beaton and Mary Higgins Clark

Got these are Anchor Multicolour threads (as opposed to variegated.) Got them off Ebay. No idea what I'm going to do with them ... I do like to just look at them though, they are really pretty!

Yes !!!!! I got a group of patterns from Kell. Thank you Kell!!!!They are going to be great. Once I finish the poppies I want to do the 3 girls AOY. I hope to stitch 2 at the same time and give them to my sisters as a Christmas present. I am not sure I can finish them for this year with all the other stuff I want to get done. I will just have to see.

the postman brought me the greatest gift today. a letter from my brother whom i've not spoken to or seen in 23years!

i know it's completely off stash topic but i'm still thrilled and technically, the postman did deliver it!

Got another lot of mag charts from Kell last night Obviously piling up WAY more things to do than one lifetime could ever manage....I think I need to go back in time and start stitching when I was younger - anyone want to join me??
