Thanks for all the lovely comments.
Thought I'd better give an update so that you don't think I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs.
I started this
Image
got this far
Image
Then decided to do another sepia picture for the kitchen, so I got this
Image
and am getting on quite well
Image
Will soon get to the darker colours and two strands  - its a bit of a nightmare doing one strand of cream on cream - on this scan there looks to be quite a contrast but there isn't

I   Neuschwanstein!! Unfortunately I was only able to see it from the outside when we visited due to time contraints. I would really like to stitch up a picture of it sometime. I just haven't found one that I love.

Great start on both! :applesauce: :applesauce:

:D Thank you both.

BB: the first time we went, we arrived too late, so we tried again the next year and got to look around inside the castle. :D This pattern is a little disappointing in that half of the front of the castle is missing, but I do still quite like it.

Lovely projects Mags. The sepia series is so restful, but I can imagine that cream-on-white was a pain to stitch.

LOVE the framed up pieces, I must admit that the cat - Majesty II? - is my absolute favourite, I think he is stunning. That's definitely on my must-stitch list for the not so distant future.

Thanks slinky :D

The picture is a bit deceptive, it was actually cream on cream  drove me a bit nuts

Yes Majesty II is lovely - I too just had to stitch it when I saw it. I could let you have the chart if you'd like. The only thing is the floss is not dmc numbered so it might be a bit difficult to match up.
