So sad that your lovely spaniel has left you

.
Congratulations on your double win, both very well deserved, especially the Samari - he is absolutely stunning.
Love your "doggie" piece not seen that before and your hardanger house is WOW.
You do amazing work and thank you for sharing it with us.

Hope your lovely dog gives you lots more time together.
Kerris was a real fighter. She was diagnosed with a mammary tumour 3 years ago, which was removed but we were told that it was very aggressive and would spread to her lungs and/or lymph nodes. Six months later it had spread to her lungs, and we almost lost her under an anaesthetic. She continued to exceed all our vet's expectations. There were a few times in the last 6 months when we were told that various problems she had could become life threatening, but she always bounced back. On the 17th of Sept, we found a lump under her chin, and we guessed it was her lymph nodes. We took her to the vet, who confirmed our fears and sent her home to enjoy what time she had left. The cancer was very aggressive this time, and just three days later we knew it was time to let her go.....
She was 13. We still have a part of her in her daughter Tegen who is 10.
Thank you all for your messages, they are a great comfort.

I've finished the main stitching on part 1. Just the needle weaving to do, which I can hopefully finish tonight. I had to frog the Octagonal Rhodes Stitch that is on top of the posts either side of the door, but they look better now. The distortion on the border is just the effect of the snap frame!
So here is the house, pre-cutting!
And after a bit of nail-biting!......
Oh, and I framed Dog Lessons too!

I've finished the first part of this one now. The frame of the window took a bit longer than I anticipated! Now to stitch the interior. That is all cross stitch, but lots of blending filament!
A close up of the needle weaving on the window frame.

Christmas House is beautiful. I don't think I could do something like that, I've just about got the hang of cross stitch!
