I can see the pic now! When you said "Fir" (a colour I haven't got in my stash) I expected something much darker - this is so delicate!

In case anyone was interested in the contents of the De Vere advent calendar here are the 24 x 25m tubes of the different coloured worsted yarns:

And here is a comparison of diameter. The yarn is a 2/28 (the 2 refers to 2-ply, and the rest to weight, I think). From top to bottom: yarn, single of stranded cotton, pearl #12, pearl #8. So it's quite thin enough to stitch with.

Golly! Haven't been on this thread for a while. :oops: Anyway, here is a photo of Faby Reilly's Zoe SAL, parts 1-6 (24 in all, I think) which will be a box when it's finished, apparently. It's very fun, and much shinier in real life.
