The floche is very nice to work with (I used them for my Stash bag too), but I could only get it from Hedgehog Handworks in America and with import taxes or whatever they're called they come out quite expensively. Because they look a bit like Coton a Broder (thickness 16) I got a shade of that from Sew and So (I had two lilacs in floche and got a third shade in coton a broder) and although I haven't tried the thread yet it does look very similar, so I may simply use those in future!

The tulips -- four bordered in black on 18ct aida and four (or possibly five) bordered in gold on 28ct black Quaker cloth -- were intended to become a stock of cards for various occasions; I thought it would be useful to have them for when I don't havetime to make something especially :-). But the tulips on black are really a bit too large for ordinary cards; even as a frayed patch they would be a very tight fit. So I did an experiment with the first one -- backed it with black vilene, then cut it to shape, then stuck it on; it's still a bit big, but I think it works!

That makes a gorgeous card! I love how the black fabric makes the colors in the tulip really stand out!

Great job Mabel!
