Wow, Jilly!! I have a thing for moose - having spent many many months in New Hampshire and never seeing a single one, and I LOVE Moira Blackburn's designs.

Just received everything for my Cirque de Cercles which I'm planning to take with me as my holiday cross stitch project.

Image

This one captures some of the sparkles in the opalescent lugana I'm using. It will be on 28ct.

Image

This one is the best I could get of the color of the overdyed floss. I think this should turn out well.

I may end up gridding this before I go, will probably do the thread method rather than than fabric pen as it says the threads are not colorfast, though it seems like you can wash the finished piece if you rinse the threads prior to starting.

Some cream and dove grey 18ct Aida and 10 new skeins from fleabay - I'll be using it for a freebie DMC / Pollyanna Pickering project in a recent WOXS (a giant panda)

A waterproof holdall from Amazon.co.uk which is for my step daughter who recently started at military prep college, which is hopefully going to build a foundation to applying to the RMP

and a memory card reader for the PC, which should make easier transfer of pics from my digi-camera and phone

Oooh, Alinna, your Ink Circles project looks very interesting!! Please keep us up to date of your progress.

I got a lovely surprise this am, a freebie skein of Vikki Clayton's variagated silk in 'Befrogged'. It's an earthy blend of greens, perfect for foliage (!). I suspect I have Ms Figworthy to thank! Many thanks Mabel. :D

You're welcome Slinky -- Hand-Dyed Fibres/Vikki Clayton offer to send a free sample to people that you send an e-card to from their site, so a great way to create new addicts :-)

Alinna, I've got that chart in my stash and am thinking of doing it on silk gauze in monochrome but seeing your opalescent lugana and those great colours makes me think again!

I got some more dyed fabrics from silkweavers late last week. Today I got a pattern of a pagoda I won off of ebay. I shouldn't be spending money but I got these to keep myself from going hog-wild on HAEDs latest sale. They were cheaper. :)

An Anchor kit, complete with plastic canvas, to make an Eeyore bookmark/storykeep.
It looks like the exact same one already stitched by someone on this forum (altho' I can't find it right now)
