A couple of mini Xmas charts from SusanF. Cheers Susan!
I'm planning to use them for the fronts of a couple of Christmas cards, and I really can't believe how organised I've become this year

New Stitches arrived today. Looks good, with a whitework masterclass, and butterflies in blackwork (reminiscent of the elephants I stitched for the charity cards).

I received a piece of 14 count moss green Aida yesterday - I bought it from a seller on ebay called "Stitchetywitchety" (I just love that name) and paid about 4pm on Wednesday and it arrived at 10am on Thursday. How's that for a speedy service?
Anyway, the green Aida is for a project I'm planning for Mother's Day next year. My Mum's favourite poem is William Wordsworth's "Daffodils" and I found a chart online of some daffodils, a downloadable one for £1.98. I decided to stitch the poem down the middle of the fabric, put some daffodils at each side, to frame it in effect and then make the whole into a small cushion to make a change from framing, which is what I nearly always do. I think the stitched area will measure about 9 x 9 inches when complete, so perfect for a small cushion for my Mum to sit on her bed during the day (she has green and yellow bedding too!)
I shall start another SAL for it when I get started, as if I haven't already got enough on the go!

Sarah, Stitchetywitchety (the shop is called Stitchers' Coven) is the same as the online shop Tandem Cottage -- great choice, great prices, low postage, I love 'em

, even though as a small business there are occasional delays but they are always very helpful (sourced a particular 36ct fabric for me)

I got my Bingo prize from Mabel today
A very generous prize, too, I must say. I got:
a mini DMC kit "Needle Art Forever"
a skein of Pearsall's Filosell Embroidery Silk in gorgeous claret colour ("grape purple")
TWO skeins of Thredfairy floss. I think one is a silk, the other a cotton, but either way they are both hand dyed and beautiful!! I am not familiar with this brand ... another one for me to explore!
presented on a large metal skein ring.
Many thanks Mabel, I love them all!

I got a packet from Sassy's Fabbys (fabrics) today. I ordered 2 pieces: a piece of linen and a piece of Jazlyn. They misread my order and prepped two pieces of linen before realising their mistake. So I received the correct order, PLUS the second piece of linen to compensate me for the longer wait time. AM WELL HAPPY!!
The colours are delicious, but I much prefer linen hand dyed, I've decided. I prefer the way the dye takes to the fabric.

I'm clearly having a bit of a good run with ole Postie at the mo.
Today I got a bumper haul:
£25 cheque from Premium Bonds (all helps!)
A certificate from City & Guilds saying I got a distinction in my recent (ish) Website exams
A bundle of linens and threads from Willows Fabrics
I really MUST stop spending ...
