This is wonderful. I am not big on orange but this just looks so good. Can't help but admire it.

Thanx for the lovely compliments.
Woohoo! I'm over halfway through the pattern now. I got the third flower finished yesterday due to some bonus stitching time at work. I usually get about 45mins worth of stitching done in my lunch hour but I got double that yesterday when just as I was about to put my stitching down and get back to work the power went out! Nothing I could do workwise so I just continued stitching until it came back on.
Anywayz here are the progress piccies:

I love the colours on this too although when stitching, depending on the light I have, they either appear all the same or all very distinctive!

I was a bit worried though because the pattern calls for a blend of apricot and cream for the orange ones and when stitching up close it looks out of place but it doesn't stand out in the piccies so that's a relief.

I had never stitched flowers until last year and was very surprised how effective the mixes of colours can be.
Your flowers are so cheerful and such wonderful colours that you think you can smell them.

The colour blending is very successful -- it adds to the shading but doesn't stand out separately!

Four down, 1 to go....

And can someone pls squash that pesky

! I had to remove and restitch the bottom orange & red section of the last flower (you can still see the 'shadow' from where I miscounted). I want really want to get this project finished this weekend and get started on some invitations I want to do for an afternoon tea I plan on organising so I don't have time to deal with

.
(I figure the lickle ted freebie from
here would look great on the front and there are only 9 invites to do so I think that I can stand doing the image 10 times)

Your flowers are coming on beautifully in spite of nasty Mr

!
Brave you for stitching all those lickle teds -- I must admit I'd be looking for something a LOT smaller and simpler if I had to do 9 invitations

(I'm probably just lazy...

)

I will send my moggie round to your

, she doesn't kill them, just keeps sniffing them, keeps

and

amused for ages, so the green one should leave you alone
